Welcome to New Assistant Principal, Mrs. Flood

As a new member of the Jaguar family, I couldn’t be more excited to join SVE! Last year, I was a traveling Assistant Principal for Longview Farm Elementary and Hazel Grove Elementary. (Yep, I got to hang out with Dr. Johnson’s kiddos over at LFE!) Sunset Valley definitely has a reputation of being full of wonderful families and staff. Thank you for the warm welcome!

My family lives in the Lee’s Summit community and our oldest child, Isabelle, will attend Mason Elementary as a sixth grade student. Isabelle is an avid reader, baker, and is enjoying the exploration of new talents and sports. We also have two young boys; Leo is 4 and Beckham is 2. Leo’s favorite place is anywhere that is outside, he loves fishing with his dad, and enjoys Monster Jam trucks. Beckham loves to do whatever Leo does. 🙂 He adores reading books, loves Mickey Mouse, and his whole face lights up when he can play with a soccer ball. I’m thankful to have a wonderful, supportive husband.  Brandon serves the city of Independence as a fire fighter and enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and learning new skills. He recently has been working on building his own fishing rod!

I grew up in Harrisonville, MO and had a wonderful college experience at SMSU, back before it was Missouri State University! 🙂 I enjoy spending time at the lake and constantly being surrounded by family and dear friends. I absolutely love the work that I get to do with students and teachers and am proud to be part of the LSR7 District. I look forward to this year and forging strong relationships with staff, students, and families.
